  • What is PropHunt:
    This GameMode is the well-known Hide & Seek from Garry's Mod or Counter Strike. There are two teams divided into Hunters and Props. The Hunters have to track down and kill the props disguised as objects.


    How to play PropHunt:
    Hunters(Seekers):
    At the start of each round, depending on the current number of players, the number of Hunters is determined. The lap time is currently 7 minutes. We have decided that there will be a maximum of 5 Hunters, as our maps will be designed for 25 players. At the beginning of each round, the Hunter is frozen for a certain time to give the props a chance to hide. After that time, the Hunters are able to move around with their weapons and have to look out for props that they consider suspicious and shoot them. The Hiders loose health if they get hit by a Hunter. However, if they hit a Prop that is not controlled by a player, the Hunter loses health depending on the weapon he is currently using. In addition, the Hunters have abilities that they can use to detect props.


    Props (Hiders):
    At the beginning, all Hiders spawn at different places on the map in form of traffic cones. From now on, the Hiders can transform themselves into any prop on the map with the "F" key. Of course, there are a few props that are restricted. But this depends on the map. For example, a clock on the wall or an oversized container cannot be your disguise. Due to the GTA5 engine there are a few things you have to do without. But all this doesn't detract from the fun of playing. As a Prop, you can transform at any time and walk around. As soon as you stand still, you merge with the surroundings. This would of course be much too easy for the Props and therefore there are a few things that make it difficult for the them. After a certain amount of time, the Props lose life points when they stop in one place. You must leave a radius and move to prevent the loss of Health Points. During this time you are of course more easily recognizable to the Hunters. The Props also do have abilities.


    Procedure and Explanation:

    • At the beginning of each round, props are spawning at random locations, to prevent players from memorizing the map.
    • Almost every object on the map is selectable.
    • Each round lasts 7 minutes.
    • Hunters are frozen for 15 seconds at the beginning of a round.
    • Maximum amount of 25 players per server.
    • Maximum 5 Hunters.
    • Hunters get a pistol and a shotgun with infinite ammo.
    • The pistol deals 25 damage if you hit a hider. You loose 3 hp if you miss.
    • The shotgun deals 50 damage if you hit a hider. You loose 6 hp if you miss.
    • After five minutes, the damage time for props begins. Standing still now causes damage to Props.
    • After five minutes, Hunters get double damage if they miss shots.

    Rules:

    • Any modifications are prohibited. It may only be played with vanilla GTA5.
    • Using mapglitches is prohibited and must be reported. If you find a location where you can get out of the map or hide yourself unfairly, please let us know.
    • Using a GamePad is also prohibited, because AutoAim can be used with it.
    • The client files may not be changed.

    Any violation can and will be punished up to the complete exclusion from PropHunt.


    Key functions:
    As a Hunter

    1 = Tracks down within a radius of 3.5 meters of player props. If player props are found, there is a positive feedback.
    2 = Play the visual effect of a small water fountain in all player props.
    3 = Switches all player props within a radius of 3.5 meters back to a pylon.
    4 = Spawn a dog that detects a player's prop close to 25 meters. This remains 10 seconds!
    J = Hides and unhides the scoreboard.
    I = Hides and unhides the HUD.



    As a Hider

    F = Switches to the aimed prop (near objects only).
    G= Teleports you to targeted location
    1 = You become invisible for 6 seconds.
    2 = Spawn a smoking chicken, which leaves a big cloud of smoke.
    3 = Freezes all Hunters within a radius of 3.5 meters for a few seconds.
    4 = Disarm all Hunters within 12 meters for 5 seconds.
    J = Hides and unhides the scoreboard.
    I = Hides and unhides the HUD.
